Make it Easy
No one likes it when things are needlessly difficult. Be it at work, at home, or in relationships, “difficult” is exhausting. But, when there is too much difficulty, we get stressed, irritable, unhappy, frustrated, and the list goes on. As leaders, we especially feel the weight of this when problems arise from the areas we’re leading.
This presentation guides leaders to easy street by helping them to understand the importance of kindness. It inspires and motivates managers, administrators, executives, and leaders to make kindness towards their teams a priority by showing how it will make their own lives easier and magically remove unnecessary difficulties.
After this talk, you will be able to
- Identify the three areas of influence that produce the most difficulty for you
- Determine which of your difficulties are self-inflicted
- Employ four strategies to quickly Make it Easy on yourself
Keep it Easy
So you learned to Make it Easy, and you want to keep it going? Perhaps you have things humming along but are starting to see difficulties appear here and there. Unfortunately, making things easy is only half the battle. Keeping things easy can be ironically difficult.
This talk teaches how to maintain your life on easy street and build a defense against the demons of difficulty that are constantly trying to sabotage your life.
This presentation will show you
- What the primary component of keeping it easy is
- Why it’s so easy for things to become difficult
- How to foster the ongoing process of keeping it easy
Virtually Easy
What’s the easiest way to work? In your pajamas, of course! Having done it for over 14 years, I can confidently say that I was a virtual manager before being a virtual manager was cool. Being virtual doesn’t have to be complicated. Let me show you the easiest way to manage a virtual team.
This session will show how it’s not about specific tools or cloud vendors but about the approach you take with your team.
This lesson will teach you
- What you need to focus on when managing a virtual team
- Why you need to learn to “let it go”
- How to maintain a sense of camaraderie and teamwork when not being together in-person
About
I began my career as a consultant in the Dallas, Texas, area. During that time, I advised and counseled business customers about using technology to increase productivity and profitability. My customers ranged from staffing firms to sports conferences, and many of them were medical and dental offices. For the past 14 plus years, I have been the CIO and COO of Phoenix Ortho, an orthopedic-exclusive software company. I have spoken thousands of times across 4 different industries and I’m at home speaking on-stage or virtually. Besides being a professional speaker, I am also a musician (a vocalist and bass player). I live in the Dallas, Texas, area with my wife and youngest son. My oldest son is a United States Marine stationed overseas. My daughter is an in-demand stylist married to an RN. When I’m not looking for the easy way, I enjoy board games, books, movies, and sometimes cycling.
